About Origine 35
As a winery, time gives us our greatest gifts. More experience, older vines, the opportunities to pause and listen, to pursue the singular expressions that will eventually become harmonious pieces of a whole. The 2021 vintage marks our 34th here in Oregon, and we are pleased to introduce the Origine cuvée – an acknowledgment of both our beginning and our present. It is very much an expression of our Dundee Hills estate while also presenting the kinds of nuances and subtleties that have defined Véronique’s work. The Origine cuvée is a limited release, available only through the winery.
The Winemaking
Our Dundee Hills estate Pinot Noir is organically grown and handpicked, then hand-sorted and de-stemmed in our four-level gravity flow winery. Fermentation is long and careful. Blending is a puzzle solved over time. In the case of Origine 35, the wine spent 12 months in élevage.
Véronique’s Notes
Introducing Origine 35—a radiant ruby-red Pinot Noir produced entirely from our Dundee Hills Estate. Debuting last year with Origine 34, the new 2022 vintage is alive with aromas of fresh raspberries, strawberries, tart cherries, and hints of pepper. Bright cranberry notes gracefully dance on the palate alongside warm baking spices and delicate rose petals, creating refined complexity and a pleasing finish. Origine 35 is a celebration of our history and the 2022 vintage in all of its challenges and glories. It is a delight in the glass today and promises to mature gracefully for years to come.
