Between Two Worlds
Véronique Drouhin makes wine in Burgundy and Oregon and feels at home in both
Drouhin never envisioned any sort of future in Oregon, where her presence and the influence of her family helped to establish Willamette Valley as a new, world-class region for Burgundy’s native grapes, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Having completed her 38th vintage at Domaine Drouhin Oregon (DDO) in 2025, Drouhin can look back on her life’s work as a split between France and America. After nearly four decades of venturing to Willamette Valley, she is now making some of her best wines ever.
